Phil Collins’s ex-wife Orianne picked her toy boy husband from a male Esenyurt Escort site where he advertised himself as a ‘sexy intellectual’ with degrees in philosophy and political science, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

She ‘insisted on dating’ Tom Bates and talked him into moving into the rock star’s $40million Miami Beach mansion with her after they secretly wed and while the pop legend was away, court papers disclose.

But it was the start of a fiery relationship with Orianne, 48, physically assaulting her new husband ‘on several occasions’ — and once threatening to cut off his ‘private parts’, the filings allege.

The Swiss-born jewelry designer’s ‘ferocious temper’ also saw Bates, 32, ‘scream for the housekeeper to help him exit the house to avoid Wife’s assault’, they add.

Before things turned sour, the papers claim Orianne promised Bates half of her planned 50 per cent cut from the sale of Collins’s spectacular ocean front home once owned by Jennifer Lopez.

The astonishing allegations are in Orianne’s divorce petition against the former tribute band guitarist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida — filed just 15 months after their secret wedding at an Elvis-themed chapel in Las Vegas in August 2020.

DailyMail.com can reveal Bates was on the books of a company called Cowboys 4 Angels using the name Ryan while he was in Los Angeles after moving from Florida to try to make it in the music business.

But he moved back to his home state when things didn’t work out as planned. It is understood the couple had their first meeting at an exclusive five star hotel in Miami Beach.

On the Cowboys 4 Angels website, ‘Ryan in Los Angeles’ was touted as ‘the classic, charismatic Los Angeles gentleman, who is definitely guaranteed to exceed your expectations and show you an unforgettable experience!’

He is pictured sporting designer stubble and showing off his tanned six-pack with an open plaid shirt and with one hand behind his head.

‘Originally from the east coast, this sexy intellectual is well-educated, having obtained collegiate degrees in Philosophy and Political Science, further reinforcing his ability to thrive in social and formal situations requiring stimulating, impressive and thought-provoking conversation,’ continues the blurb.

‘Ryan currently works as a personal trainer and musician… some of Ryan’s main interests include art, fashion, traveling and live music.’

Orianne — whose maiden name is Cevey — was living with Collins, 71, in Miami Beach when she allegedly selected Bates after he had returned to Florida, where court papers suggest he was still working as an escort.

Collins — who played his last live gig with Genesis last month in a sell-out concert in London — left for a trip to Europe in summer 2020. But he was blindsided when he learned his ex had remarried and installed Bates at his house while he wasn’t there.

Orianne, who met Collins as a 22-year-old when she worked as his translator — had codes to the electronic locks changed and employed pistol-toting ex-military guards, turning the gated home into a fortress for the newlyweds.

And she lavished Bates with more than $75,000 of designer clothes and watches in splurges at exclusive stores in Miami’s Design District, plus a $340,000 Aston Martin supercar.

Meanwhile, Collins stayed at his pad in Switzerland while he launched a successful legal bid to turf them out, eventually selling the house containing his priceless pop memorabilia for $40million.

Orianne is still fighting for half the proceeds.

The newlyweds then moved into a stunning $6million six-bedroom waterfront property with a pool in Fort Lauderdale. And that is where the problems started, it would appear from the court filings.

Bates’s legal team revealed how they first got together in his latest answers to Orianne’s divorce petition.

‘At the time the parties met, Husband was employed by an escort service,’ they write.

‘The Wife selected Husband through the escort service and insisted on dating him.The parties’ relationship rapidly progressed into a meaningful romantic relationship. Wife persuaded Husband to leave the escort service to marry her.’

‘Husband moved from California to Florida on or about July, 2020 and rented an apartment in Delray Beach, Florida. After the parties married, Wife insisted that Husband leave the sanctuary of his Delray apartment and move into the Collins residence in Miami with Wife.

‘The Wife clearly understood that Husband’s life would be turned upside down and the Husband and Wife would be sued by Phil Collins once Husband moved into the Collins residence.’

Bates claims he received the alleged threat to slice off his genitals after returning to the Fort Lauderdale home from spending Thanksgiving last year with his parents at their home in nearby Lighthouse Point.

He arrived to find Orianne had ‘secretly removed’ his clothes and other possessions and he asked for them back.

‘Wife, who has a ferocious temper, threatened Husband with bodily harm (by cutting off his private parts) when he asked for his clothes and personal property’, said his filing.

‘The Wife, who has earned a 3rd degree black belt designation and is trained in boxing, previously physically assaulted Husband on several occasions prior to separation. On one occasion, Husband had to scream for the housekeeper to help him exit the house to avoid Wife’s assault.

‘Husband voluntarily vacated the marital residence for his safety.’

The papers also reveal just how much Orianne lavished on Bates, who was suddenly thrust into a world of wealth that the couple regularly flaunted on social media. And, so it is alleged, in order for his new wife to keep up appearances.

‘During the marriage the parties traveled internationally and domestically and dined out frequently. Husband owned minimal assets and Wife knew this. She was and is wealthy,’ he attorneys write.

‘She mandated that Husband participate in a lavish and opulent standard of living. Wife willingly purchased gifts for husband at expensive international institutions, including famous fashion boutiques such as Hermes and Chanel.

‘Prior to and during the marriage, the Wife demanded that Husband wear expensive clothing to bolster her international «image» and she showered Husband with designer clothing, including a Tom Ford tuxedo valued at $7,000 and a Rolex Daytona watch valued at $23,000 given before the marriage.Wife told Husband the gifts with an approximate value of $75,000 were his to keep.

But the gifts came at a cost form the moment he moved into the Collins mansion, the papers allege.

Bates’s formal response to the petition says he was ‘precluded from leaving the confines’ of the home to go for a walk without the ‘presence of heavily armed, ex-military bodyguards’.

It adds: ‘The Husband faced and addressed every other catastrophe involving the Wife, from health issues, business problems, litigation and paparazzi.

‘Solely as a result of his marriage, Wife’s problems immediately became the Husband’s problems and his life dramatically and permanently changed.’

‘After the Wife induced the Husband to leave the safety and sanctity of his apartment, she promised Husband one half of any proceeds from the Miami property valued at $40million.

‘It was repeatedly reported by Wife to newspapers of worldwide circulation that ‘we’ (meaning Husband and Wife) owned 5800 N Bay Road, Miami Beach, Florida, as much as Phil Collins… Wife claimed that Husband and Wife jointly owned a $20million interest in the Miami residence.’

‘After moving into the Collins mansion, ‘the Husband was «on duty» for the Wife 24/7/365 and if he requested permission to visit his parents (who live in Lighthouse Point) for dinner, the consequences to the Husband were unbearable….he catered to Wife’s every whim.’

Another gift was the ‘rare’ $340,000 Aston Martin. The first one was stolen around April last year so Orianne leased another for Bates — and the pair are fighting over that too in their divorce, with Thomas refusing to hand it back.

The monthly lease and other expenses are an incredible $6,500, according to legal filings.

He got the original after the couple were just married and the idea was suggested by Orianne, say papers.‘The Wife noticed an Audi R8 motor vehicle speed by. She told the Husband that he should have a car similar to that and in fact he should have an Aston Martin like James Bond,’ Bates’ attorneys write.

‘When the Husband and Wife returned from Switzerland they went to The Collection Car dealership in Coral Gables… upon arriving at the dealership the Husband and Wife discussed the purchase of the Aston Martin. The Wife then decided to lease the Aston Martin rather than purchasing same at that time.’

Bates’s legal team allege Orianne ‘demanded’ he sign the lease and promised that she would make the payments and would buy the car at the end of the term. After it was stolen, another was leased — and sporting the new James Bond-style license plate TB007. ‘It is a rare one-of-a-kind automobile’, they add.

Orianne has filed papers demanding the car’s ‘immediate’ return — saying she is in ‘dire financial straits’.

Her attorneys write: ‘The Husband has not only syphoned funds from the Wife, but the Wife is now heavily encumbered and has limited cash flow. She has been relying on assets to meet expenses.

‘Unfortunately the Wife has hit the wall.

‘In the meantime, the Husband maneuvered to secure a lease on an Aston Martin for which maintenance, lease and other related expenses exceed $6,500 per month.

‘Previously, in this very short-term marriage, the Husband was driving a Mazda. However, he now wishes to be part of the rich and famous and drives this car around.’

They allege the car has no insurance and add: ‘It is essential this car needs to be turned in immediately. $6,500 plus per month for a car lease is insane….this car needs to go.’

Bates’s lawyer responded in legal papers: ‘The wealthy Wife wished for her Husband to drive an expensive automobile (it was within her style and expectations that he do so. She owned and still owns 2 Bentleys).

‘In violation of the Court’s Status Quo Order the Wife has refused to make lease payments. The Wife did this to hurt the Husband and his credit!’

Circuit Judge Natasha DePrimo later denied the request to stop Bates driving the car.

Bates is also fighting Orianne’s motion for the return of three designer watches — the Rolex, an Audemars Piguet and a Harry Winston.

In response, his attorneys write: ‘The Wife did not loan any watches during the course of their marriage. The Wife gifted watches to her husband… the Wife wanted her Husband to wear expensive watches. Anything less was an insult to her and her perceived celebrity status.’

DailyMail.com has previously exclusively reported that Orianne is fighting to stop Bates grabbing a share of the Fort Lauderdale home, which it has been agreed can be sold.

We revealed her divorce petition said she has been ‘drained of the vast majority’ of her fortune since marrying Bates. She asked the court for sole occupancy of the house — and Bates is now living back with his parents, according to latest documents.

Of her financial state, her filing said at the time: ‘Essentially the Husband has contributed nothing financially in their brief marriage, whereas the Wife has been drained of the vast majority of her premarital and/or nonmarital assets.

‘All of the monies for the purchase of the residence, shy of the mortgage, were paid from the Wife’s premarital/or nonmarital funds. The Husband made no financial contribution.

‘She paid all the maintenance costs, all the mortgage and other expenses for running the home.

‘Conversely, the Husband has not contributed any funds towards the purchase, acquisition, and maintenance of the property.Additionally, he has received substantial financial benefits and assets that he insisted remain with him.’
