A Woolworths shopper was surprised to discover that the stores limited edition themed shopping bags is the perfect wrapping paper option.
The 20c recyclable bags have been praised as a cheaper and more sustainable option than buying gift wrap as most traditional types can’t be recycled.

The mum used the bag to wrap up a cheese board and said it was ‘pretty easy’.
‘I decided to chop one of the bags up and give it a go,’ she said.
Shantelle chopped off the bag handles, the bottom of the bag and the sides of the bag off to have one long sheet of wrapping paper.
‘I laid the paper out, folded it over and stuck it all down. Then I did the corners.If you want you can add a little bow. I put some twine on it. I love it.’
‘I wasn’t sure how it would look but gave it a go and loved it.’
The mum praised the wrapping paper for being ‘quite thick’ but warns that you might have to double up on sticky tape when wrapping the bag.

The store outlined that the bag can be used as wrapping paper, a gift bag, Christmas decorations or for Christmas cards.
