To make the dumplings Ayeh used rice paper sheets, tofu, mushrooms, carrots, green cabbage, spring onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil.

‘The first step is to make your filling — use a range of veggie along with some garlic and tofu or your favourite protein,’ Ayeh said in the video as she sliced mushrooms, lettuce and carrot.

The filling ingredients were sautéed in a pan and seasoned with ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil.

Once the filling was ready she started making the dumplings by dipping the rice paper sheet in water for a few seconds then placing on a damp surface.

A tablespoon of the filling was added to the centre and the sheet was carefully wrapped onto itself.

‘Fold each side up like a little pocket and then double wrap it in a second rice paper sheet,’ Ayeh said.

‘Now pan fry for a few minutes on each side until golden brown.’

The dumplings looked mouthwatering and had the perfect crunch with every bite.
