A disturbing ‘fight club’ culture has overtaken a small country town with teenagers staging punch-ons outside and uploading footage to social media

One video shows two teenage girls exchanging blows while their friends cheer them on; another shows a teenager being pulled by her hair.

A third video shows another pair of girls brawling on the grass while a crowd watches, takes videos on their phones, and laughs.

NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Gavin Wood slammed the disgusting behaviour and called out the parents who were caught watching the fights.

‘In terms of social media platforms being utilised, these trends go beyond stupidity and recklessness, these acts are crimes,’ he told .

‘Filming yourself committing a crime and posting the video online is a sure-fire way to get yourself arrested.’

Assistant Commissioner Gavin Wood explained the fights did not appear to be solely a police issue but also a community one.

‘Everyone has to take responsibility and buy in…in line with the old adage, «It takes a village to raise a child» … that’s what I am talking about,’ he said.

Terrified locals have taken matters into their own hands and kept accounts of criminal behaviour on local Facebook page, Casino Crime Reports.

Richmond Valley Council Deputy Mayor Stephen Morrissey said his town had a problem with youth crime and that the issue was becoming ‘worse’.

Mr Morrissey claimed the matter has grown out of control since major floods hit the area and nearby Lismore in 2022.

Catastrophic floods inundated northern NSW in February and then a second time in March last year.

Thousands of residents were made homeless while the final insurance loss was estimated to be $5.7billion, making in the most expensive disaster in Australian history.

Longtime residents, who asked to remain anonymous, said their lovely town had been taken over by violent teenagers.
